Delivering the health visiting offer - peer review training

Sustain today delivered the first of a number of specially designed training sessions for health visitors who will undertake the role of peer reviwers in the programme of Sustain Rapid Appraisals commissioned by NHS Midlands and East. This unique approach brings together the expertise of health visiting providers, in the form of peer reviewers, with private sector processes and tools provided by Sustain.

Sustain Rapid Appraisal programme begins

Sustain today commenced the first in a programme of Sustain Rapid Appraisals in conjunction with NHS Midlands and East.  The appraisals have been commissioned as part of a national drive to enhance the health visiting offer and deliver additional health visiting numbers.   

Department of Health approval for Sustain project

Sustain today presented the final output of its commissioning framework, tools and guidance project to a conference attended by the Department of Health and strategic health authority representatives from across England. The output, due for publication in mid-April, was well recieved by those in attendance and the accompanying recommendations were approved by the Department of Health.

Boost for new community interest company

New community interest company Horizon Health, based in Norwich, today took another step forward in its development with the implementation of its performance dashboards and board assurance framework developed by Sustain.

Special workshop for children's service commissioners

Sustain today facilitated a workshop attended by children's services commissioners from across the East of England. The workshop was used to review the work completed to date on the development of a commissioning framework, tools and guidance to support delivery of the Healthy Child Programme.
